Yet another group of prominent Pakistani businessmen from the three main cities of the Philippines namely Manila, Subic Bay, and Cebu called on Ambassador Dr. Imtiaz A. Kazi in his office on 15 February 2023. Among the visitors were Mr. Gohar Ali Rajpoot, Chaudhry Irfan Gujjar, Malik Shabbir Ahmad (Subic Bay), and Mr. Mehboob Shah Malik.

The issues of acquiring a 5-year-long residence permit for Pakistanis as well as the Embassy’s continued patronage to keep the community united and together were discussed.

Mr. Gujjar also invited the Ambassador, in advance, to visit the second largest city of the Philippines i.e. Cebu on the occasion of 14th August 2023 for a national day celebration with the Pakistani community there.

Issues related to overseas Pakistani and their businesses in Cebu and Subic Bay were also discussed. Mr. Gohar Rajput of the Pakistan Welfare Association informed us about the opening, in near future, of a top-class Pakistani restaurant in Manila.
