Ambassador Dr. Imtiaz A. Kazi was invited by the Pakistani Community in the 500-year old city of LUBAO in the province of Pampanga which brought together 300 of our diaspora for a big community event.

This get together was hosted by Chaudhri Irfan Gujjar and coincided with the grand opening of the 7th Yard of Anjum Traders Inc. in the Philippines (Importers of heavy machinery, crane-trucks, and heavy duty vehicles from Japan into the Philippines). Along with Madam Esmeraldo Pineada, Mayor of Pampanga who was the Guest of Honour, our expats from Manila, Subic Bay, and Cebu attended the event.

LUBAO city is the native town of Madam Arroyo Macapagal, former President of the Philippines (2001-2010), and her father Mr. Diosdado Macapagal who was also the Philippines’ President from 1961-1965 and was the first-ever President of the Philippines to visit Pakistan in 1962.
