Ambassador Dr. Imtiaz A. Kazi was invited as a Guest of Honour at the 48th National Qirat Competition held in Manila (the University of Philippines Auditorium) on 20th February 2023. This year’s Competition with the theme “Al-Qura’an: Illuminating the Humanity” was attended among others, by the Philippines’ most popularly elected and only Muslim Senator Haji Ferdinand Carino Abdul Aziz Padella and Muslim Embassies’ diplomatic corps. Thirty-six Qaris from different provinces of the Philippines attended the Competition.
