Today, Amb. Dr. Imtiaz A Kazi held a meeting with the Philippines’ President Mr. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at Presidential Palace (Malacanan), Manila. President also holds the portfolio of Minister for Agriculture. Amb. Kazi briefed him about 27 members of Pak. rice delegation’s visit to Manila, 21 to 26 Jan. 2023. and sought favorable tariff concessions applicable to the ASEAN regime to meet the Philippines’ rice needs of 1 million MT. He also reiterated Pakistan’s President Dr. Arif Alvi’s invitation for President Marcos to visit Pakistan at mutually convenient dates.
