13th April 2021, Ambassador Dr.Imtiaz Ahmed Kazi paid a courtesy call on Secretary William Dar of Department of Agriculture (DA) via virtual mode. The issues of promotion of bilateral agri based trade for fruits, crops, vegetables was discussed. Secretary Dar informed about discussions of the Philippines Government to put in effect and review temporarily lowering the MFN tariffs on rice to same level as the rates under the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA) benefiting rice trade partner Pakistan. Ambassador Kazi conveyed this will help to build bilateral trade between both the countries.
